A Matter of Equity Training Program

A Matter of Equity, sensitivity training program provides employees with effective tools for working across cultures. The training asks employees to discuss their own racial/cultural identities and their cross-cultural experiences. By the end of the training, employees will develop a better understanding of the stages of cultural competency and will be able to locate their own identity positions. Features of the training include:

  • social identity mapping
  • privilege questionnaire
  • effective language & frequently used terms
  • case studies
  • review Ontario Human Rights Policy

Racing the Bar Training Program

Our Racing the Bar training program provides employees with effective tools for dealing with race and race-related issues in the workplace, at school, university & college campuses, and amongst senior administrative staff. The training focuses on cultural myths and taboos of naming race and speaking about racism in public spaces. Employees will better equipped to deal with issues of race when they arise. They will gain confidence to identify issues and develop strategies for solving issues or creating a strategy for proactively implementing initiatives or programs in the workplace. Features of the training include:

  • defining race & racism
  • identifying types of racism
  • effective language & frequently used terms
  • case studies
  • Ontario Human Rights Policy: race and race-related grounds
